The Eagle Flight project is a 501(C3) non-profit educational & scientific organization.

The Eagle Flight project was organized in June of 2004.

The Eagle Flight team is made up of: Pilot - 34 Year old Jared Aicher of Boise, Idaho, USA
Project Manager - 31 year old Kerry Widmer of Boise, Idaho, USA
Media and Logistics Specialist - 35 year old Stacey Commer of Lloydminster, AB, Canada
DVD and Multi-Media Specialist - 35 year old Terry Allington of Saskatoon, SK, Canada

The Eagle Flight's mission is to introduce the world of aviation to youth around the globe by offering free flights to more than 400 youth over a four year period.

The Eagle Flight project will offer free flights to youth in 49 of the 50 United States during its mission, only missing Hawaii.

A Cessna 172M was used during the 2005 Phase I tour of the United States where 107 children received free flights in 41 of the lower 48 United States.

During Phase I the team flew over 13,000 miles in 33 days visiting an average of 3 states per day, on some legs of the trip.

During the 2006 Phase II flight, Jared will be flying the same Cessna 172 used for the 2005 tour.

Phase II will be completed in two parts. On June 17th, Jared and team will spend 12 days traveling through each of the 10 Canadian Provinces and 3 territories (Nunavut, Northwest Territory and Yukon Territory). 3 US States were missed in the 2005 tour and will be completed this summer  which include- North Dakota, Colorado and Alaska.  In December of 2006, the Eagle Flight team will fly throughout the Caribbean from the Bahamas to Trinidad over a 20 day period.   Phase II will incorporate another 200 Young Eagle youth passengers during 2006.

Major sponsors and supporters of the Eagle Flight are Utah Valley State College's Global Aviation Degree Program, West Mesa Aviation, Northwest Appraisal Company, R&M Steel and Webmajik.

Eagle Flight pilot Jared Aicher received his Private Pilot Certificate at the age of 19. He now holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate and has flown more than 15 types of aircraft in 14 years. He is currently a senior at Utah Valley State College majoring in Aviation Science and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.
